Sure, the Bitmoji Classroom is adorable, but now that it’s been a little while, the trend has definitely caught on. (There is even a Facebook group for it with 429,000 members! Whoa!) I know there are plenty of people out there who may want to try something different, so here are a few options for you.
Create a Class Phone App: This amazing resource created by Mishele of Miss B Makes History is so fun. Click here to get the instructions. (It is going to force you to make a copy before you can view the instructions, but then they are yours to keep!)
Bookflix and Spotify: Share your favorite books, audiobooks, podcasts,or music with your students using the clever Bookflix and Spotify templates created by teacher Lauren Johnsen. Click here to snag a copy of the fun template! (Again, please make a copy to view.)
Virtual Lockers: Have your students create virtual lockers to show off their space. (Make sure you create one, too!) Here is a link to a freebie on TPT that could easily be used as a template or you could make your own.
Newsletters: Another good way to connect with students (and parents!) is to send a monthly newsletter. Here is a great set of editable secondary newsletter templates
How will you connect with your students in a virtual environment this year? Sound off in the comments below or follow along on Facebook or Instagram to join the discussion.
